When the CEO of Miramar-based Spirit Airlines arrives at Hollywood's Westin Diplomat Resort today to speak at a business conference, he'll be met by protesters.
About 100 flight attendants and supporters are vowing to picket the fact that after five years of negotiating, they have nothing.
Master Executive President of the Association of Flight Attendants at Spirit Airlines Todd St. Pierre says their flight attendants are working with other airlines' flight attendants and know what their contracts include.
Therefore, they want improvements.
He says they just want a fair contract.
He claims Spirit is recording record profit quarter after quarter and is collecting millions in auxiliary fees; therefore, those profits should be shared with them.
St. Pierre say even though they understand it would inconvenience everyone, they may be forced to strike.
